Walk Walk Fashion Baby

The peeps over at True Love magazine want you to decide who South Africa’s hottest designer is. By doing so, you stand a chance to win a whole lot of moolah.

The 2010 True Love Fashion Awards sees 10 local designers vying for the top prize of being claimed South Africa’s most fabulous designer. And it’s all decided by you!

All you have to do is head on over to Fashion Awards, register and cast your vote and you stand in line to win R5000 as well as two tickets to the “I Am Women” lifestyle show.

Cape Town Fan Walk

Skinny Bitches did the fan walk last night for the Holland and Uruguay semi-final.

The place was packed. It seems everyone and their orange-clad family were in the city yesterday. We didn't walk all the way to the stadium, the crowds were a little too hectic for that. But I did find this awesome picture of the stadium walk on Twitter.


We're gonna be really sad when the World Cup's over but we've had some awesome times.

Pity Party for One

So lately I have been in a very weird, feeling-sorry-for-myself mood.

However as I am naturally a happy person I refuse to let the ennui take hold of me. Instead I've come up with a list of things that have made me happy lately and plan on repeating them.

There’s nothing better than…

…dancing to old boyband music with your roommate.

…having a hot chocolate from Vida when you’re feeling fugly. (ladies, if you buy the new Cosmo you can get a free hot chocolate coupon).

…watching House in your pajamas with a bowl of prawn chips.

…having a cocktail in the sun.

…playing Alicia Key’s “No One” really loud and singing along in the car.

Press Stick Spring/Summer Launch

A couple of weeks ago I attended the Press Stick Spring/Summer Launch.


It was held at Blonde restaurant in Gardens and was a great opportunity to see what trends we need to be rocking next season.

I also had the opportunity to meet a fellow Style Scoop writer (and fashion icon) Fashion Jazz. She is just as lovely and stylish as on her blog.

The event was fabulous. Got to meet some great people in the industry, perve over shoes, sip on cocktails and get new sunnies from Sunglass Hut. I've got a pair of new Bvlgaris that I love.
