Style Envy

I realise I am late to the party when it comes to Suits. I just had a whole bunch of other, more shall we say gripping shows to watch. I've finally caught up and I get what y'all were all saying about Harvey but what I really love about the show is the ladies' style.

As much as I love the freedom of my current workplace, I do kinda long for an office where I can rock out pencil skirts, Roland Mouret-inspired dress shapes, towering heels and have perfect hair daily.

There is so much awe and also jealousy whenever Rachel comes up on screen in yet another ah-mazing pencil skirt. I have a couple of pencil skirts yet none of mine look as good as hers. This is mostly based on my gym habits and Fat Kid syndrome for that particular week. Mine tend to ride up a lot and then I do this awkward shuffling walk as I try to smooth them down and make them all neat. I look attractive.

Donna brings a whole bunch of sexy to the office. Everything in her wardrobe is fitted, stylish and has a little something something that intrigues yet isn't too dull for the workplace. I want to be her.

This obsession started back when Mad Men did and since then all I really want is a tailored wardrobe with which I can take on the world. I mean, do you think Joan thinks she *doesn't* kick ass in this assemble. Puh-lease.

Any style crushes?

Ex-Oh! Ex-Oh!

Images from here and here.

  1. I love Donna and her style is gorgeous! Rachel is quite a boxy shape so the pencil skirts help to give her a more defined shape. I have only now starting watching Mad Men and agree tailored clothing makes the world of difference. I wish I could tailor my own stuff but am far too impatient to attempt to learn how to sow etc!!

  2. Suits is soo good and I want to be like Donna, I've been trying to wear more tailored outfits to work but haven't got the Suits budget. xx PS Harvey is lush!

  3. Rachel is my current girl crush! Both Mad Men and Suits ladies make me envious of their clothes. I'd still like me a Harvey!

  4. I wish i worked in an office with men dressed in sharp suits. I would hardly get any work done but that would be too cool for.

I work in jeans and am terrible at corporate styling!

Whoop! There It Is!
