Grumble, Grumble

Is it just me or does it seem like everyone has their perfect job and they just love boasting about it. I know they're not really boasting about it and even if they are, I shouldn't begrudge them.

If I had my perfect job you can bet my Twitter update would be all about me being a princess. FYI, my ideal job is really to become a princess. Realistically it's to be a journalist.

It's probably just the Monday blues or my coworkers annoying the hell out of me. Some people need a serious lesson on personal space. I have mine, you have yours, they should not meet. But it's been one of those down days. I couldn't even find the energy to comment on other blogs. And that is like one of the things I look forward to the most.

I'm no doctor but I am prescribing listening to the Hairspray soundtrack on my way home. No one stays mad whilst listening to You Can't Stop The Beat. Then I think a trip to Woolies is in order. I'm thinking prawn chips or one of those fat free milkshakes. Finally I'm going to put on my pajamas and watch Glee.

I'm already feeling better.

Ex-Oh! Ex-Oh!

  1. I do not have the perfect job. My perfect job would be to work as a travel jornalist/writer. Or to be an author.

And I also once wanted to be a princess. An Indian princess with an elephant. I was 5 at the time. Okay so maybe I was 17 at the time. Ok, ok, ok, I'm still hoping to be an Indian princess.

  2. I think they just do it becasue they want to make people feel jealous... or they need to convince themselves that life isn't so bad and their dream job is as good as they expected (it isnt always).

Then again I'm still a student, so I get jealoous of most people for having silly things, like work outfits, and salaries...

  3. If you want to be journalist- go for it! My friend studied for about 6 months and a few years down the line and his ugly mugs on TV now....

  4. Sid - I'm still hoping to be a princess too! until then will settle for a magazine journalist.

Helen - have to admit, work outfits are pretty cool. Salaries even more so. But at least when you're a student you get more holidays.

P/O - I do want to be journalist, it's not for lack of trying. Apparently i have too much experience to be an editorial assistant yet not enough to be a features writer. if i wasn't sooo ambitious I'd have given up by now.
