...who finds utterly annoying when coworkers come up to your desk, look at you and then knock on what seems to be an invisible door and then wait for you to say "Come in."
I wish I could cower behind said invisible door and pretend not to be in like I do when my mom's weird friends came to visit and she wasn't home.
What's even more annoying is when they ask after knocking "Anybody home?"
Jeez Louise.

lol! That's quite funny but I could see how that would make someone mad over time. I'd just ignore them until they came to speak to me in a proper manner. There's lots of things one of my colleagues does that irritates me.
ReplyDelete1. Creeping up behind me and reading over my shoulder at what I'm typing/looking at
2. Rummaging through bins to see what could have been put in the recycling bin and then emailing us passive-aggressive messages about recycling
3. Asking me to carry out a small task when I'm clearly very busy with other more important things. Once she asked me to Google car hire companies when I was stressing about something really urgent. It could've taken her less time to do it herself than the time it took her to ask! Argh!
I'd be tempted to say something extra sarky.

"Why are you knocking on a Teepee?"
"Can't you see the 'Do not disturb' sign?" Then point to the air.
Or when asked if you are home just tell them you aren't buying whatever they are selling.
I like a slow hand clap. Nothing says sarky like a dead stare and a slow hand clap. I've worked with many dumb asses.
