Our Own Little Xmas Tree

I've finally gotten 'round to posting the pictures.

Here is our purple-and-silver-decorated tree.

Only one day and a bit and then Santa is coming! Tres exciting. I'm really hoping I'll find Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner under the tree. Have been hinting all year!

No feeling the inner Christmas cheer this year

It's almost 5pm (a normal working person's time to go home, but not mine) and I'm sitting at the office slowly losing all my Christmas cheer. It's one thing to work right up until 24th Dec (12:00) stay tuned as this time may be extended, but to know that you're going to stress of the Christmas holidays about work is the final straw. And I really think I've had enough.

I'm looking around the office and i'm the only one here in the account management department...starting to think I've been dealt the short-hand. Don't mean to go all Grinch-like on the blog, but a change needs to happen, Im not hapy anymore (with work that is).

On a good note, I'm hopig to go home sometime soon and watch a Christmassy movie with Green Eyes in our very Christmassy lounge, maybe pour myself a christmassy sized drink.

If we don't chat again, I hope you are having a better time than I am and catch you after Christmas.

Is there anything more annoying...

...than someone who uses more than one punctuation mark after a sentence.

Seriously, one exclamation mark gives the phrase or statement enough emphasis.

Adding triple question marks at the end does not make it any more of a query.

Monday's Mantra

This week is all that stands between me and the holidays.
I believe in the true meaning of public holidays...sleep.
I'm addicted to bagels with cream cheese.
I wish I was on holiday along with everyone else.
I'm jealous of people who know what they want for lunch. Have stared at the menu for 10 minutes and nothing.

Things I've Realised...

...I ♥ Cape Town and am so lucky to live here. Not sure whether it's the weather, the beautiful people, the vibe in Long Street, the 80s partie, Charley's Bakery or sundowners at La Med. This is where I belong.

...No matter who it belongs to, ass crack is never a good look.

...Having a latte is great. Having the Vida guys send you a latte (with one sweetner already added) because you're such a good client is awesome and can change your day.

...That squeaky noise my car is making is not good.

...A little bit of holly and fairy lights make a flat feel very christmassy.

...I'm really lucky to have a flatmate who gets me. Whether it be my love for boyband music, the need to watch Love Actually over and over again or the fact that I don't have to share my bag of crisps because we both got our own is awesome.

...No matter what anyone tells you, if your job involves receiving gift bags at the end of it, its definitely glam.
